Solak House

Located in Büyükada Nizam District, on a parcel with a narrow side facing Martı Street with stairs and a long side facing the view, Solak House is a two-flat residential building designed for one family. While the active relationship of the ground floor with the garden is established, the location of the upper floors overlooking the view is at the forefront.

Brick, which has been used as a building and decoration element in the architecture of the islands from past to present, forms the garden wall and surrounds the parcel. It takes its place in Büyükada as a whole with the building landscape, with the corten steel image of the carrier system reflected on the facade and the pigmented exposed concrete surfaces compatible with it.
